Driver Arrested After High Speed Chase From Anderson To Happy Valley

A man apparently admitted to being a very prolific career car thief after leading Anderson Police on a high-speed chase. A little after Midnight Wednesday morning the owner of a car dealership on North Street in Anderson reported the theft of a Jeep Wrangler. The owner said he watched on surveillance cameras as two thieves took the Jeep. At 1:20AM an APD Officer on Highway 273 near Ox Yoke saw the Jeep go by so he got behind it and tried to pull it over. The pursuit headed west to Happy Valley at more than 90 miles an hour. At Triple S Drive the Jeep turned off and ran into a cattle gate, causing the gate to get stuck on the front of the Jeep. About a quarter mile later the Jeep became disabled. The officer threatened to send Aero the K9 after the two men and they both surrendered. Police say the passenger was 34-year-old Daniel Harrington. He’s on felony probation and was arrested. The driver was reportedly 32-year-old Timothy Jack Parker, who’s on felony probation for vehicle theft in Shasta County and in Nevada. He was arrested on multiple charges. Parker reportedly told police that he started stealing cars at the age of 12 and estimated that he had stolen more than 500 cars in his lifetime.
