Anderson Police say a car thief parked right next to one of their officers Tuesday. The officer was parked at the Anderson Wal-Mart when 27-year-old Damien Jones pulled up in a Honda Accord with his passenger, 29-year-old Sierra Thompson, both of Red Bluff. The pair got out and walked into the store as the officer discovered the car had been reported stolen. Police found the two inside the store and arrested them. Jones has numerous theft related arrests, including vehicle theft. Thompson, who’s on probation, was arrested for Methamphetamine possession.
