Two men already in Tehama County Jail charged with murder have now been implicated in another murder. In July of 2014 Walter Dewayne Dani was killed by a shotgun blast to the head. The 24-year-old man’s body was found in front of the Crossroads Market in Gerber. 21-year-old Poly Duenas Sanchez was arrested the following day. The day after that 21-year-old Lucio Madera was arrested. The apparent murder weapon was found, as well as the vehicle allegedly used. A week and a half later 21-year-old Gabino Madera was arrested at a house on Woodson Avenue in Corning. The 3 men have been in Tehama County Jail ever since awaiting court action. Meanwhile the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating the murder of 21-year-old Marat Magdeev of Chico. His burned body was found in May of 2014 in an orchard near Hamilton City. Eventually it was determined that Magdeev had been killed in Tehama County south of Corning and evidence pinned the murder to Gabino Madera and Poly Sanchez, who were booked Thursday on the additional murder charge.
