A Tehama County woman is going to prison after a series of incidents involving jail guards, bleach and vomit. 53-year-old Susan Lorraine Hess was in custody when she threw the contents of a cup into the face of a correctional officer. Those contents were toilet water, toilet paper and vomit. As he recoiled the officer fell and injured his finger. The crude mixture also splashed on two other guards. On another occasion Hess filled a spray bottle with bleach and accosted two other people, ruining their clothing. Hess was convicted of battery with a caustic chemical and sentenced to 4 years in state prison.
