The public is being asked to stay away from an area where investigators are searching for evidence in the suspicious disappearance of a 34-year-old mother. Sherri Papini’s husband Keith arrived home from work Wednesday and there was no sign of Sherri or their two children. Keith then discovered that the kids had never been picked up from daycare. Keith used a “find my i-phone” app and near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive he located Sherri’s cell phone and ear buds and other items the sheriff’s office is not making public. Keith called 9-1-1 just before 6 O’clock Wednesday night. Deputies canvassing the area learned that the last known sighting of Sherri was at 2 O’clock Wednesday afternoon when she was seen jogging alone on Sunrise Drive. She was wearing a pink running jacket. Sherri is a white woman, 5-Foot-4 and 100 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Sheriff Tom Bosenko is appealing to the public for information. The major crimes unit is checking on local sex offenders and parolees. The case has been entered into a national missing person’s database. Deputies, detectives and search and rescue volunteers continue to search for evidence in a one-half to one mile radius with the help of a K-9 and a CHP helicopter.
