Redding Police are just now reporting a pursuit that happened last week. Last Thursday night the RPD got a call from someone who said they were following a possibly intoxicated driver. The Chrysler Sebring had apparently nearly struck a car on Shasta View Drive and was being driven erratically. Officers arrived in the area and tried to stop the Chrysler but the driver accelerated away. During the chase 36-year-old Joshua Brock allegedly threw a loaded 9 millimeter handgun with a high capacity magazine out his car window. He eventually pulled over on Highway 44 near Shasta View. He reportedly admitted to having a large quantity of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and another gun. Officers say they found 22 Ounces of Meth, 5 Pounds of Pot and a loaded Sawed off Shotgun. Brock, who has served two prior prison sentences for drug dealing, was booked into jail on 8 felony counts. He bailed out the next morning.
