A big gathering of homebrewers is planned for this weekend in Chico. It’s a meeting of those who make their own beer, as well as general enthusiasts of beer. It’ll be held on Sunday at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company on East 20th Street. There will be sampling, a brewery tour, and lots of co-mingling of brewers. It’s hosted by the American Homebrewers Association, and a simultaneous event will be held at Sierra Nevada’s brewery in Asheville, North Carolina. That will allow beer fans to participate in the first-ever “coast-to-coast toast”. The event is 11 to 2 on Sunday. Details on how to RSVP can be found at homebrewersassociation.org.
