A Shasta Lake City man is accused of threatening his father with a gun. At 7:40AM Wednesday morning, Greg Rodriguez called 9-1-1 from his home on Virginia Avenue. He reportedly said his son, Richard Rodriguez, had brandished a firearm at him during an argument. Â Greg and his wife locked themselves inside the house, leaving Richard outside. When deputies arrived, Richard was in the driveway and he was detained without incident. The word was that Richard had three guns, and deputies found two of them where they had been tossed into the bushes. They came back later with phoebe the K-9, who found the third gun under a pile of lumber. It had apparently been reported stolen in a November residential burglary in Redding. Richard Rodriguez was booked into jail on several serious charges.
