A man was killed on Highway 299 near Montgomery Creek in a big rig crash, according to the CHP. The unidentified man was killed near the Potato Cut just east of Montgomery Creek. The big rig was apparently hauling dairy products and it crashed about 4:20AM. Both lanes were blocked for several hours as crews removed the wreckage.
