A pilot who said he ran out of fuel crashed his small plane south of Anderson on Friday. 85-year-old Pete Bulthius, who had flown from the Stockton area, tried to land the Cessna 182 on Locust Road near Lyle Lane, but his right wing hit a power pole and the plane flipped and landed upside-down in a field. Bulthius was able to crawl out of the plane on his own and he was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
