Grant funding has been secured from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to assist some Northern California community health centers. Mountain Valleys Health Center in Beiber is getting 1.7 Million Dollars, while McCloud Healthcare clinic is getting $950,000. Congressman Doug LaMalfa said the funding will strengthen health care in the North State. It’s unclear how much involvement his office had in the award.
