Teen Girl Ejected From Vehicle Near Old Station

Two teenagers were hurt in a crash on Highway 89 near Hat Creek.Early Sunday morning. A short time after Midnight a 17-year-old boy was driving a Toyota Corolla with a 17-year-old female passenger. He was wearing a seatbelt, but she was not. They were about 3.5 miles north of Old Station when the car left the highway and rolled over several times. The girl was ejected and badly hurt. After being driven by a private party to Mayers Hospital, she was flown to Mercy in Redding in critical condition. The boy was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The CHP doesn’t believe there was any alcohol or drug impairment.
