Anderson Fire Protection District has a new look, with help from some local businesses. Anderson’s engines have traditionally been lime-yellow, but they saw a chance to change things up when they got their brand new red 75-foot ladder truck. The truck was paid for by Redding Rancheria with casino impact fees. The local sign shop Signarama agreed to wrap another Anderson engine to match the ladder truck, but they had a stipulation. They said they would do it for $5000 if they could include a tribute to the 343 New York firefighters who were killed on 9/11. The job was paid for partly by the Anderson Volunteer Fire equipment account and proceeds from the Cronic Disaster Services golf tournament. The rest was covered by Gofundme donations from the community.
