Redding Police say a man in a stolen car got high… onto a roof to get away. At 4 O’clock Wednesday afternoon an officer spotted a Ford Focus on Oasis Road that had been reported stolen from Dana Drive recently. When the officer turned his lights on to pull the car over it stopped and the driver immediately got out and took off running. The passenger, 29-year-old Alythea Martin, was detained. She allegedly was in possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Other officers responded to help look for the driver. A CHP helicopter also was called and the crew spotted 46-year-old Victorio Tort Rhoades hiding on the roof of a nearby house. He eventually surrendered. Rhoades is on parole for making criminal threats. He and martin were both booked into jail.
