A high speed motorcycle chase ended early Thursday morning right in front of KQMS on Alta Mesa Drive. Shortly before 1AM Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies tried to pull over a motorcycle in Churn Creek Bottom near Clover Road for traffic violations. The rider took off and led the deputies on a chase at well over 100 miles an hour as he ran red lights and stopsigns and rode on the wrong side of the roadway. The pursuit continued into Redding and the motorcyclist lost control and crashed into a garbage can on Alta Mesa at Marlene. 36-year-old Joshua Eugene Brock had 3 felony warrants. He told deputies that’s why he tried to get away from them. He was arrested, and then released to the hospital for treatment of his major injuries from the crash.
