A Tehama County Jail inmate has been sentenced for receiving drugs in a package sent to to him while incarcerated. Jail staff got a tip that 27-year-old Carlos Luis Partida would be getting an illegal something extra tucked into a package. When a parcel came for him, it was searched and Heroin was found concealed between two cards. When Partida got the package he excitedly opened it with other inmates looking on only to find a Tehama County Sheriff’s business card that said jail staff was on to him. Partida then tried to destroy and conceal the evidence. He’s been sentenced to a year in prison.
