A tip from a neighborhood watch group may lead to evictions at a Central Redding apartment. After hearing of the group’s concerns, the neighborhood police unit began surveillance of the Waldon Street home and then got a search warrant. The code enforcement unit was also involved because of reports of sewage dumping. During the search 57-year-old Timothy Alan Chambers was arrested for delaying and obstructing officers, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of ammunition by a felon. Police say the primary renter, 56-year-old Timothy Hammond Hunter, had been allowing homeless people and drug addicts to use the apartment for a long time, resulting in several structural and health code violations. Code enforcement will be contacting the landlord.
