When a young woman’s purse was stolen from a Victor Avenue daycare Monday night, she tracked down the alleged thief twice. Just before 7 O’clock Haley Hunter of Shasta Lake City was at Kinderland when she said she saw a man running away from her car with her things. The 22-year-old woman ran after him and confronted him, but he pushed her away and fled on foot. A short time later hunter tracked her cell phone to Winco and spotted the same man. He was detained with the help of some concerned bystanders. Redding Police say 28-year-old Nicholas Williams had the cell phone and other property stolen from Hunter. He’s on probation for escape and was booked for robbery and burglary.
