When a parolee ran from Redding Police and hid in a doghouse, it was a K-9 that found him. At 3:30PM Sunday afternoon an officer at Library Park spoke with 25-year-old Brandon Shane Reynolds. He’s on post release community supervision and can be searched at anytime. Not enthusiastic about that prospect, Reynolds opted instead to run away. He ran across the railroad tracks and out of sight between a couple of buildings. With help from a CHP helicopter the neighborhood was searched. Dozer the K-9 sniffed out Reynolds where he was hiding in a small doghouse in someone’s back yard. He was treated at a hospital for dog bites and then booked into jail. He allegedly had Heroin and Methamphetamine on him. A police officer also was treated for minor injuries he sustained in the scuffle with Reynolds.
