A 19-year-old Redding man is accused of a hit-and-run DUI crash. Just before 11 O’clock Thursday night Redding Police and firefighters were sent to the intersection of Lofty Oak Drive and Heavenly Lane. 19-year-old Rodney Lee Owen was being held by bystanders until police arrived. He had apparently been driving a pickup truck and struck an unoccupied parked truck, wrecking both vehicles and causing a fire in one of them. Owen was wearing his seatbelt and airbags deployed. He was uninjured. RPD Officers arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.
