YOUNTVILLE, Calif. (AP) – Authorities say three people were hospitalized with burns after a hot air balloon struck a power line in California’s wine country. The balloon, carrying 19 passengers and a pilot, hit the line Monday morning while descending at a vineyard near Yountville in Napa County. KPIX-TV says a woman suffered severe burns to her torso and left arm while two others had minor burns. Passengers Anton and Joanne Lang of New Jersey were aboard the balloon and told the station that the pilot never pulled up as he approached the power line. The balloon is owned by Napa-based company Balloons Above the Valley. KPIX-TV says the company declined to respond to a request for comment.
