A large collection of high powered rifles and illegal components was seized in the Mount Shasta area. An investigation began last month into a man affiliated with a motorcycle gang who’s not supposed to possess firearms due to prior felonies. Apparently his wife had been making a series of gun purchases with questionable legality. On March 19th a multi-agency team of county and state law enforcement served a search warrant at the couple’s Mount Shasta home. Nobody was home, but they seized 38 guns, including 12 unregistered assault rifles, a silencer that fit five of the guns, 100 high capacity magazines, other components and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition. Officials also reported finding clothing associated with an outlaw motorcycle gang. The residents remain at large as they face numerous felony weapons charges.
