The mayor of Paradise, Jody Jones, is meeting with federal officials this week to bring support for Camp Fire survivors. She’s accompanied by Butte County Supervisors Steve Lambert and Bill Connely and County Administrator Shari McCracken. They’re planning on meeting with Senators Fienstein and Harris, Representatives LaMalfa, McClintock, Halbert and Garamendi. They’ll also speak to the Senate Committees on Banking, Environment and Public Works, and Appropriations. On Tuesday morning, they met at the White House Executive Office Building with the Intergovernmental Affairs Office to discuss forest management, housing, water and sewer issues. They will also meet with U.S. Forest Service officials. Jones said she hopes the trip will be productive and bring resources to the Town of Paradise.
