A political mailer sent to residents in the District One State Senate race has gotten the attention of the Secretary of State’s Office. The letter, which some are calling an invasion of their privacy, allegedly shows the voting records of the recipient as well as that of family, friends, or neighbors. It comes with a list of what elections those people have voted in, and says it will be updated after Tuesday’s election. The mailer was sent on behalf of a group calling itself the Northern California State Voter Project. Brian Dahle’s Office alleges that the mailer came from someone working on behalf of his opponent Kevin Kiley. His office said it was unaware of the letter until media reports brought it to light.
