Update: Coroner ID’s 1 Victim Of Head-On Crash In Tehama County

Tehama County authorities have released the name of one of the two people who were killed overnight in a head-on crash. According to the CHP, a woman in a Dodge Caliber was driving erratically and at high speed northbound in the southbound lane on Highway 99 at around 11:20PM Tuesday night. North of Los Molinos near Sixth Avenue the Dodge encountered a southbound Saturn Ion driven by 21-year-old Colton Stout of Los Molinos. Stout had no time to brake or swerve before being rammed head-on, according to CHP Officers, who say the impact killed both drivers. Within moments, both vehicles were engulfed in flames. The highway was closed for almost 3 hours and the CHP investigation is continuing. Stout’s family has been notified. Officials are still trying to determine the identity of the woman driving the Dodge.
