Some Trinity Schools will be closed the rest of the week, but it has nothing to do with power outages. According to the Trinity Journal, the Trinity Alps Unified School District has canceled classes following the discovery of high mold levels in 12 more classrooms. The mold counts are too high at five classrooms at Trinity High School (including two portables brought in recently), six classrooms at Weaverville Elementary School, and one classroom at Alps View. Abatement work includes the use of negative air scrubbers, cleaning of the HVAC systems, removal of ceiling tiles, deep cleaning of carpets, wipe down and vacuuming. District officials hope that enough rooms can be opened to resume school on Monday.
