Man Who Fired Shots Before Police Pursuit Sentenced To Prison

A Tehama County man has been sentenced for a shooting incident, followed by a police chase. In April, 37-year-old Clayton Shane Humphrey was outside a home on Valley Vista Drive spinning doughnuts with his Harley Davidson. When confronted by the residents, he left, but rode by a short time later and fired several shots from a pistol. Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted the motorcycle a short time later on 99W in Corning and a high speed chase ensued for about four miles at over 100 miles an hour. Humphrey stopped at a residence on Flournoy Avenue and was arrested. He had discarded the gun during the chase, but it was recovered. Convicted of several felony charges, Humphrey has been sentenced to 6 years 4 months in state prison.
