A man who beat his girlfriend is going to state prison. On Monday, Jerimiah James Woolf plead no contest to one count of corporal injury to a significant other and admitted a prior strike. On October 11th, a Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a domestic violence call and contacted Woolf and his girlfriend. The deputy noticed that Woolf appeared to be under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. The victim said she had come home from work and noticed that Woolf was acting strangely and breaking things on the front porch. She yelled at him to stop and he followed her into the bedroom and started hitting her, causing several large lumps to her head and swelling to her left eye. After entering his plea, Woolf was immediately sentenced to 6 years in state prison.
