Two people are in critical condition after a three vehicle collision in Tehama County late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Corning Observer. 33-year-old Sylvia Arce of Corning was driving a Lincoln Navigator on Highway 99W, while a 33-year-old Paradise man with a 33-year-old male passenger were in a Toyota Rav4 on Gyle Road. The Toyota driver apparently failed to stop for the stop sign and was broadsided by the big Lincoln SUV. Both vehicles then slid into the parking lot of the store on the corner of the intersection and ran into a parked car where 55-year-old Bradley Wiggins was sitting. He was not injured. Arce reported some pain. The Toyota driver, who the CHP suspects was intoxicated, suffered major blunt force head trauma. He and his passenger were both transported to Mercy Hospital in Redding.
