A motorcyclist was killed by an Amtrak train in Shasta Lake City. At 4:30AM Saturday morning the passenger train was south of Shasta Dam Boulevard and west of La Mesa Avenue when it hit the motorcyclist. The name has not been released. Anyone who witnessed the collision or who can provide information should call the sheriff’s office at 245-6540.
