Although the Governor’s new Coronavirus closure order includes museums statewide, Redding’s Turtle Bay Exploration Park still has a lot to offer with it’s outdoor attractions. The indoor museum and Mill Building areas are closed, but Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp with its Forest Adventure and Babe’s Corral Playgrounds will remain open, as well as the Walk on the Wild Side Amphitheater, Parrot Playhouse and wildlife woods. The temporary hours are 10AM to 4PM daily and because of the limited access, general admission for non-members is discounted to $5. For members, it’s always free. Face coverings are required while checking in at the front desk. Capacity is limited, so reservations can be made at turtlebay.org.
