Man Faces Life In Prison After Murder Conviction

A Redding man who was already found guilty of first degree murder in a case that was overturned by an appeals court has been found guilty again by a Shasta County Jury. On April 23rd of 2016, 28-year-old Pete Jeppesen was found on the ground in front of an Akard Avenue apartment complex suffering from a stab wound. He died a short time later at the hospital. Officers learned Jeppesen had been in a fight with 40-year-old Morgan Eastwood Eddy, who was eventually found nearby on Cypress Avenue. He was convicted again Wednesday. He faces 26 years to life in state prison when he’s sentenced next month.
