No Additional COVID-19 Deaths Reported In Shasta County Wednesday

Shasta County’s coronavirus death toll remains at 179. There were 31 new cases reported Tuesday, as well as 1,361 negative tests. The total number of cases so far is 11,054. An estimated 107 people have the virus right now, 17 of them hospitalized and 5 in intensive care. Shasta County is in the red tier, with an adjusted daily case rate of 10 per 100,000 residents.

Tehama County has reported 5,118 cases and 52 deaths.
There have been 373 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,784 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 14 deaths.
Butte County has reported 167 deaths among their 10,805 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,028 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,595 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,230 cases and 33 deaths.
Modoc County has had 460 cases and 4 deaths.

Vaccination clinics are scheduled this week for those who need a second dose of either the Moderna or the Pfizer vaccine. Details are at shastaready.org.

Public health says it’s very important that people continue to get tested regularly, but testing volume is way down in recent weeks. Walk-in testing is available at many locations listed under “Get Tested” at shastaready.org.
