Red Bluff Police Arrest 3 Men After Small Fire At City Park

Three men were arrested after an arson fire at Red Bluff City Park Thursday afternoon. A little before One O’clock, witnesses reported seeing two men walking away from the fire. While Red Bluff Fire and Cal-Fire worked to extinguish the small blaze, police contacted David Bell, Wesley Reed and Franklin Goubert. Reed had an active arrest warrant for arson, but said he didn’t start Thursday’s fire. Goubert had a warrant for drugs, and police say he violently resisted arrest. Bell was already suspected of starting other fires in the sacramento River Slough near I-5. He reportedly admitted to starting the fire in the park, and the previous fires as well. The fire burned about a 50 foot by 50 foot spot.
