Multiple sex offenders were arrested during a three-day multi-agency sweep in Shasta County. The Sheriff’s Office, Probation Department, Anderson Police, U.S. Marshals and State Parole Agents all participated. 32 probationers and 28 parolees were contacted and searched to be sure they were complying with the terms of their releases. 10 people were arrested for various violations. Three children were taken into protective custody. This operation was larger than most, but the Sheriff’s Office conducts similar sweeps on a monthly basis.
