Some Actives At Lake Shasta Exempt From National Forest Closure

The Millions of acres that make up the national forests in California have been closed due to extreme fire danger, but some exceptions are being made for Lake Shasta. Boating is allowed, but camping and other land based activities are not. Some, but not all, of Lake Shasta’s marinas may remain open. They are Antlers, Holiday Harbor, Bridge Bay, Digger Bay, and Shasta Marina. Lake Shasta Caverns is also still operating, and the public boat launches are open at Jones Valley and Centimudi. Trinity Lake and Lewiston lake are closed.
