A man threatened with eviction from a Redding RV park threatened his landlord with a gun, according to police. At 11:20AM Friday morning, the RPD was called to the Park Marina RV Park. A 72-year-old realtor had tried to serve a “notice to pay or vacate” to 23-year-old Allan Crowell, who allegedly brandished what looked like a sawed-off rifle and threatened to shoot the man. The RPD used their armored vehicle, but it was unnecessary as an officer got through to Crowell on the telephone and convinced him to surrender. The rifle turned out to be a pellet gun. Crowell was arrested for criminal threats, brandishing a replica gun and elder abuse.
