8 COVID-19 Deaths Reported In Shasta County On Tuesday

COVID-19 is hitting Shasta County hard. 8 deaths were reported from Tuesday alone. They included a man in his 50s, two women in their 60s, a man and 2 women in their 70s, and a man and woman in their 80s. 203 new cases were reported, with 27 of them age 12 and younger case. Shasta County has the highest case rate in California, at 715 per 100,000 people. There are 1,093 known cases in the community, 89 in the hospital and 24 in the ICU.
