A crash started a small fire west of Oak Run Monday night. 55-year-old Sherri Zellman was eastbound on Highway 299 in a Jeep just after 8 O’clock when she drifted off the roadway and hit the guardrail. The Jeep rolled over and ran into the rock embankment, then caught fire. A passing driver helped Zellman escape from the burning vehicle. Cal-Fire and Round Mountain Volunteers quickly stopped the fire. Zellman had minor injuries. The CHP says she was driving under the influence, and she was arrested.
