The Dixie Fire is holding at 963,309 acres, and remains at 94% containment. Small pockets of vegetation are still burning within the perimeter but the fire is not expected to grow any larger. Mop up continues in the Old Station area and patrols continue throughout the fire zone. A forest closure remains in effect for parts of the Lassen National Forest. 1,329 structures were destroyed in the Dixie Fire, which was likely sparked by PG&E equipment July 13th in the Feather River Canyon.
All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted from the Monument Fire, which is 79% contained after burning 223,000 acres. Hazard trees and debris have been removed from Hyampom Road and it’s re-opened. A number of other roads remain closed. Highway 299 is still under one-way traffic control between Del Loma and Burnt Ranch. A pilot car is escorting traffic through every one and a half hours from 7AM to 7PM on weekdays and at the top of every hour on weekends. Escorts run continuously overnight with delays of up to 40 minutes.
The River Complex in Klamath National Forest continues to creep, now at 198,663 acres. Containment is at 69%. Many evacuations orders have been reduced to warnings in Trinity County.
The Antelope Fire east of Mount Shasta is not expected to grow, with 95% containment after burning 145,632 acres. Evacuation orders and warnings have all been lifted.
The McCash Fire in a remote area of the Marble Mountain Wilderness has burned 93,245 acres and it’s 61% contained.
