A Weaverville man was badly injured by a hit-and-run driver Sunday evening, according to the CHP. 54-year-old Eric Croft was crossing Washington Street north of Highway 299 in front of Miller’s Transmission just after 6PM when he was struck by a northbound dark metallic gray late model pickup truck, possibly a Toyota. The driver kept going. Croft suffered major injuries to his head and legs. Anyone with possible information about the driver or the vehicle can call the CHP at 623-3832.
