A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after an attack on the animal shelter in Mount Shasta City. The Siskiyou Humane Society reported that woman was repeatedly ramming her car into the gate at the facility, and verbally and physically assaulting employees. She was leaving when an officer arrived and stopped her on North Mount Shasta Boulevard. 72-year-old Teresa Yvonne Berryman was reportedly uncooperative and when she started being hostile and aggressive with the officer, he used his Taser on her and took her into custody. A Humane Society spokesperson says they did not have Berryman’s pet and it appeared to be a random attack.
