Red Bluff Police Arrest Two After Hit-&-Run Suspect Gets Stuck In The Mud

A hit-and-run in a Red Bluff parking lot led to a police chase Saturday afternoon. The driver of a Dodge SUV struck a car at Raley’s and then left without taking responsibility or exchanging information. The SUV was followed onto Northbound I-5 and turned onto Wilcox Road, where an officer caught up and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect sped away, endangering other drivers and bicyclists. When the SUV left the road into a wooded area it got stuck in the mud and the two occupants fled on foot. Some time later a person reported seeing them walking in the area. Kayla Hudges and Joshua Pennock were arrested for the crash and the chase, as well as outstanding warrants.
