Two more deaths by Covid have been reported for Shasta County. They were a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s. Another 560 cases were reported over the weekend, though that’s believed to be far below the actual number, as is the total known active case figure of 1,205. There are 69 patients hospitalized with Covid and 14 in the ICU. Free tests that can be done at home are available to be picked up at the three Shasta County libraries or Shasta College. Supplies vary day by day. They can also be ordered directly from the federal government at covidtests.gov. Vvaccinations are available for free at many locations.
