A train struck a car in the Lakehead area Tuesday night, but the driver apparently fled the scene. At around 8:20PM, CHP Officers responding to the collision on Black Boulevard found an empty Nissan Sentra on the tracks with a substantial amount of blood inside, but no driver. A CHP helicopter helped search for the injured person, but they were not found. The car was removed from the tracks about 30 minutes after the crash and the train continued on its way.
