The Redding Chamber of Commerce is no longer going to tell people how they think they should vote. The Chamber Board has decided to stop the practice of endorsing political candidates and funding political campaigns, and have dissolved their political action committee. A recent survey of chamber membership showed an even split on the issue of endorsements, but 85% still want the chamber to help elect business-friendly candidates and give the membership information about candidates and issues that affect local business. The chamber will also continue to host candidates forums.
