A 42-year-old Red Bluff man is facing a murder charge for the death of a man in a fight last year. A little before 2AM last May 8th, medical help was called to a home on Walbridge Street in Red Bluff for a man having trouble breathing. When paramedics arrived, 40-year-old Robert Parmenter was unresponsive and not breathing so CPR was started. Parmenter was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition, but he never regained consciousness and succumbed to his head trauma. Red Bluff Police learned Parmenter had been struck in the head with an unknown object while fighting with someone outside the home. Investigators eventually identified Troy Zimmerman as the suspect and gathered evidence against him before getting an arrest warrant. On Tuesday Zimmerman was found and booked into Tehama County Jail for murder, with bail set at over a Million Dollars.
