The olympic dream has come to a close for snowboarder Robby Burns. The Mount Shasta native ended in 31st place in Parallel Giant Slalom. He says he’s disappointed with his performance, but still thrilled to have made it there. Burns is a wildland firefighter with the Shasta Lake Interagency Hotshot Crew and fought on the Dixie Fire last year. He competed while wearing the belt buckle he earned for completing his third season on the fire crew.
