Most New COVID-19 Infections Appear To Be Mild In Shasta County

Shasta County Public Health says most people with COVID-19 are experiencing mild symptoms and can recover at home without seeking medical attention. Warning signs that it’s getting severe include difficulty breathing, chest pressure, bluish lips, confusion or difficulty waking up. Guidance can be found on the “symptoms” page at shastaready.org. Another 39 cases have been confirmed for a total known number of 278, though the actual number in the community is unknown.
