Friday Marks The Two Year Anniversary Of The Pandemic

Coronavirus cases continue to decline. Another 18 COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday by Shasta County Public Health. They currently know of 158 cases, though the actual number in the community is believed to be much higher. There are 21 Coronavirus patients in the hospital, 3 of them in intensive care. Starting Friday, masks will no longer be required in California schools. The Sikh Center in Anderson is hosting a vaccination and booster clinic Friday from 11AM to 6PM. Information on testing, vaccinations and what to do if exposed can be found at shastaready.org. Friday is the second anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring COVID-19 a global pandemic. To recognize this milestone and honor their staffmembers, Mercy Medical Center in Redding and Mount Shasta and Saint Elizabeth in Red Bluff will be lit up with blue lights.
